when do you think you should lose your virginity?

okay so I was asked about what I think is the right age or the right time to lose your virginity. I think that you cant put an age on losing your virginity however I know that the age of consent is 16 but there is teens much younger than this losing their virginity. To be honest I think that the children are getting younger and younger like the age of 12. to me that is ridiclious like how can a 12 year old know when there ready to have sex. In my honest opinion I think that you have to be emotionally ready to be having sex. Like seriously how is a 12 year old supposed to be ready for the feelings that come after sex . Or what if it was just a one night stand or they had a "fuck buddy" then after a few fucks that person doesn't want anything to do with them. I think that if your thinking about losing your virginity that you should be with someone that you have complete trust and with someone that you love. Also be prepared like start thinking about contraception for eg. going on the pill. From my own personal experience I was 16 when I lost my virginity and I wasnt emotionally ready for sex and for what came next.
